Content creator and Strategic Planner during an internship with Future Focus Marketing Group

This was an internship in the final year of Master's degree in Media, I was successfully secured this internship for doing content, researching and planning.

This was an opportunity for me to work with my client - an start-up food brand named 'THE SMOKED EGG COMPANY' which is a young Australian brand introduced to the market in 2017. I and Yoyo collaborate closely with Tina - Director and Chloe - Tina's manager, the project was aim to expand their market and brand recognition.

At that time, the brand seemed like they have already reached out the right target audience but it was a small group of people, also they weren't very active on social media or online platform. After several weekly meeting,  I found out their product is a new innovation so it probably take time to educate customers, let them try and trigger their curiosity. Although they have already done a good job on introducing their product, the price of the product was quite high which is not easy for customer to approach a new product, especially essential products, and they haven't had a timeline, a  professional copywriting so their online content looked unattractive and not professional . Therefore, there are still lots of limitation on connecting people, lots of customers don't know where to purchase and try the product. I suggested lower the price, still a bit higher than normal eggs but it is a reasonable price for a new technology. Also, doing a factory tour and 2 mins ads to run on Youtube, Facebook and short cooking videos on Instagram named 'Every one can cook series', easy to cook and for vegan-friendly customer. Offline event at Victoria was also a great ideas for people to come and talk will two chefs and a director about the product. Importantly, try the egg in-store. But it had to be a delicious tester to bring a good memory and impact on customers. Also suggesting contact couple of food bloggers on YouTube or Instagram (30-55 years old) to introduce the product in a mini cooking show with host whose friends/families. I want to use a work of mouth to spread out the information and educate people on the online platform because I believe that nothing flies as fast as work of mouth.

​After this internship, I learned more about collaboration, developing content, analyzing to find out the solution to reinforce the brand awareness. The important of narrow down and target right audience. understand different culture is a must. Finally, developing a good timeline to make sure the workload is always on track and punctual 

Besides, looked into different aspects of the customer's need like the price and sustainability.
