Product Developer, Media Assistant and Copywriter for an online business named Cheddar Tea and Skincare
​In 2015, I started this job to help a young lady promote her start-up project inspired by Chinese therapy skincare lines. At that time, we only had three people on the team. My team and I played the role of product developers, from presenting ideas and researching to taking photos for every project we planned to do and the online platform.
I based on the aesthetic, the voice, and the key message of the brand to build the concept for posting, photographing, and filming short videos for both platforms Facebook and Instagram, and ensured that every material was consistent in word and theme.
Besides that, as a media assistant, I also planned carefully what content the audiences were willing to interact with.

Creative Planner and Producer of the project named 'RUOK?', our team worked for RMIT Wellbeing department
​This project aimed to develop a campaign for RMIT Wellbeing Department which is about committing suicide. I and Mai who was my teammate handled two roles as creative planner and producer for the whole campaign. I was very honored to work in a team of 6 hard-working people. We did a lot of research and analyzed our research to find out the target audience and develop big ideas. We did three videos for this campaign. One was the video promoting the workshop, another was a short mv and the last one was a short film that is inspired by a true story from the interview. I and other teammates created an excellent team, everyone had a strong work ethic, and we literally had zero conflict and collaborated very smoothly with each other and our client.

Internship as Content Creator, Copywriter and Strategic Planner
My first internship was as a Content Creator, Copywriter, and Strategic Planner. At the beginning of 2020 when Covid-19 started hitting Melbourne, I took an internship with RMIT ABC Fact Check as a content creator and strategic planner. I began with the passionate interview that I had with Sushi at the end of May. She asked me ‘What skills would you contribute to improving brand image?” and “I am working in the journalism industry so please educate me on how to approach the advertising industry”. I told her that as a creative thinker, researcher, and open-minded candidate, I believe that I will help ABC Fact Check to reach out to the right audience, seize information & data and bright out the right key message, besides, creating a solid plan and work closely with other team members to deliver ABC Fact Check's message utterly and effectively. With a strong work ethic, and an ability to work under pressure, I could handle multiple tasks and solve problems. During the internship, my team and I did lots of research and analyzed all the information to figure out TA and find solutions for the question 'how to educate people about DEBUNK'. In terms of planning and creating content, based on the information we got, I started planning and discussing ideas with my team, we all decided to start with a typo-introducing video 'ABC Fact Check, Who are we?'. I collected ideas and summed up all the information, yet drew the storyboard for another team member. After that, we did multiple short videos mentioning 'how to check the new?', 'Do not let fake news blind you' or 'If you don't know then don't blind me from the mouth of others' to post weekly online on TikTok. After this internship, my critical thinking and community engagement were improved by working, discussing, and sharing with experienced people in the industry.
March 2021 - July 2021
Assistant Director & Scriptwriter
​This was the main project for my core course before lockdown for a French artist named Cyril Lancelin, I luckily had a chance to work with other two talented teammates to create a short video inspired by “The Knot” and Cyril Lancelin’s previous works, such as “Flamingo Ring” which was displayed in 2019 at Dubai International Financial Centre (Town and Concrete 2019) to display at Federal Square for Lancelin's exhibition.
Before starting the project, our team worked together to analyze the client's brief deeply and clearly, then we based on the brief and requirement which is 'the knot' image that needed to be the center of the whole project. We luckily had an opportunity to develop the project with creativity without limitation. We started to research, got inspiration, and analyzed all the information to finalize all the information that we had to develop multiple ideas among team members before stuck with the inspiration of the meaning of 'Triquetra'. The final step before deploying the project is a 5-minute presentation.
I played the role of assistant director and scriptwriter which included finding locations, contacting casts and crews, setting up a timetable, and helping the director film all locations and some dance scenes. You can see the video in the work section.
This experience not only gave me a chance to improve my filming skills but also fully experience how pre-production works. The two most important lessons are problem-solving and working remotely during the pandemic.

Content creator, Copywriter and Strategic Planner with Future Focus Marketing Group
This was an opportunity for me to work with my client - a start-up food brand named 'THE SMOKED EGG COMPANY', a young Australian brand introduced to the market in 2017. Yoyo and I collaborated closely with Tina - Director and Chloe - Tina's secretary, the project aimed to expand their market and brand recognition. At that time, the brand seemed like it had already reached out to the right target audience but it was a small group of people, also they weren't very active on social media or online platforms. The product is very new to the market so it would take time to educate customers and trigger their curiosity. Although they have already done a good job of introducing their product, the price of the product was quite high which is not easy for the customer to approach, besides, they weren't active on online platforms. Therefore, there are lots of limitations on connecting people, and several potential customers don't know where to purchase and try their product. I suggested lowering the price, still a bit higher than regular free-range eggs but it is more reasonable. Also, doing a factory tour and 2 mins ads running on Youtube, and Facebook, and short cooking videos on Instagram named the 'Everyone can cook series', easy to cook and for vegan-friendly customers. Opening an offline event at South Melbourne Market on the weekend is also a great chance for my team to reach out to new customers and introduce our product. Importantly, gave customers a chance to experience the concept and the egg in-store. Also, suggested contacting a couple of food bloggers on YouTube or Instagram (30-55 years old) to introduce the product online with a mini cooking show. I want to utilize the technique called word of mouth to spread out the information and educate people on both online and offline platforms. As a result, we successfully reached out to new customers by 10% and raised awareness of The Smoked Egg by educating new technology to the target audience. I learned more about collaboration, developing content, and analyzing to find out solutions to reinforce brand awareness. Importance of narrowing down and targeting the right audience. Understanding different cultures is a must. Learned to look deeply into different aspects of the customer's needs such as transparency and sustainability. Agency's life was jam-packed every single day which trained me to be a multifunctional person and a problem-solver.

Publisher and Media Assistant for Youtube Channel Mymyfresh
I'm currently a freelancer working part-time as a Publisher and Media Assistant for a YouTube channel named Mymyfresh. My responsibility is SEO and developing big ideas, in conjunction with writing video descriptions and creating eye-catching thumbnails while still holding the main theme of the channel. On top of that, doing the SEO part, and assisting in developing content and the brand's image. Besides, keeping track of and creating posts for Mymyfresh's Facebook page. In terms of preparing for pre-production, sometimes I would look for new locations for shooting and doing the script.

Strategic Planner and Content Leader - Mitastory Agency
For this job, I'm not the main strategic planner but a supporter of the main planner of the Agency. I handled the research and analysis, identified target audiences, and proposed big ideas. Besides, I was leading the social content team for the agency itself and its clients like Danh Thanh mineral water, Ladycare [Intimate care for women], VDAgri, etc..., including the agency's social fanpages "Zi Phai Chi", "Dan Quan May", "Ai Len Song?" and "Mitastory Facebook page and Linkedin".
